CHAIRMAN'S LETTER

EASTER 2013

Hello

Hoping you are all keeping well and enjoying this seasonal weather!!!

The last General meeting held in February was well-attended. We enjoyed an excellent presentation from Ian and Ruth from Kinokulture; and had a full and lively discussion about advertising and promoting our events, led by John Waine from The Best of Oswestry.

We have now awarded a grant to Oswestry Library in support of their young persons creative writing squad and have received an anthology of their work which you can see at the AGM.   We also have awarded a small grant to BVA towards their Open Studios event.

We are waiting for bursary applications to come in – closing date is Friday April 26^th.  If you know any young persons that would be eligible please get them to conplete a form

Looking forward to the AGM which is on Thursday June 20^th at 7.30pm – the venue is to be confirmed.   If any of you would like to talk about your group and the work they do in a short presentation at the AGM, I am very keen to hear from you.   We are always wanting to learn all about the activities of our members.
