Oswestry & District Arts
Association.
Oswestry & District Arts Association is a charitable
body which receives funding from Oswestry Local Joint Comittees and
Oswestry Town Council to facilitate Arts in Oswestry and its surrounding
area. The aims of the Association are the fostering, promotion,
and understanding of the Arts and the facilitation and improvement of
their accessibility among people in the area.
The Association meets at least four times a year and
the executive which is elected from the membership meets a further six
times. The executive being mainly responsible for the day to day
running of the association and awarding grants and bursary's.
Joining O.D.A.A.
Membership of the Association is
open to all individuals and organisations within the area of Oswestry
and Districts.
Membership is free and is granted subject to terms
in the constitution.
There are
two types of membership, Full Membership which is only available to
organisations and Individual Membership which is for individual people.
Full Membership:
To
become a Full Member of the Association
the
organisation must apply to the Secretary of the Association for
Associate Membership. Attend two consecutive general meeting of the
Association then providing that the Association is satisfied that
organisations aims qualify it for membership, full membership will be
granted.
Individual Membership:
To become a
Individual Member of the Association
the
individual must apply to Secretary for Associate Membership. At the
following Annual General Meeting providing the Association is satisfied
that individuals aims qualify it for membership, membership will be
voted upon.
Associate Members are
not allowed to vote at meetings. For full membership rights

Who can attend?
While anyone can attend general
meetings only full members are allowed to vote
